John Gakuru, a global citizen with roots in Kenya, England and Australia, has found a home base in Los Angeles from where he traverses North America. With two decades of experience in the spirits industry, he has held various roles around the world. From managing London's Lab Bar during the cocktail renaissance, to being a Global Brand Ambassador for Sagatiba Cachaça, he has played a pivotal role in expanding spirit labels across continents. He now brings his extensive expertise to bear in the co-founding of Coruscent Co. that works hard to elevate people, places, and products through world-class events, brand growth, and fun!

Born in the Czech Republic, Miami based Zdenek Kastanek has a decorated 20+ year hospitality career across multiple continents. During his time in Asia, he was a founding team member of Proof & Company, one of Asia Pacific’s leading spirits distributors and bar consulting companies, gaining a deep knowledge of beverage import/export, distribution, global logistics as well as business development and brand building. Now in his role as the International Sales Director for the group, leading expansion for ecoSPIRITS, Zdenek is on a mission to end single use glass in Europe and the Americas, alongside driving the True Believers’ range of craft spirits that bridge the gap between economical pouring brands and super premium craft spirits.
